Joikusoft announces JoikuBoost; World’s First Multiplexing WiFi Tethering software for Smartphones
Joikusoft, the creator of the world’s most popular WiFi Tethering software JoikuSpot, today announced a new innovative software solution called JoikuBoost, which enhances the mobile internet connection speed of JoikuBoost-enabled devices.
JoikuBoost improves mobile internet connection speed by wirelessly combining 3G data connections between multiple mobile phones in multiple operator 3G networks. The actual internet speed multiplies as the data bits transported in a JoikuBoost WiFi network simultaneously flow through multiple operator 3G networks.
JoikuBoost bases on a new communications protocol developed by Joikusoft.
JoikuBoost looks for other JoikuBoost users within close proximity. With user permission, JoikuBoost aggregates the 3G data connections over WiFi and creates a larger, unified and shared bit pipe. Multiple JoikuBoost-enabled phones are able to join and create WiFi Share Hubs, providing the ability to create personal 4G Wifi networks over 3G with friends and associates, meanwhile forming an internet connection which boost the mobile internet user experience to a totally new level.
Nokia has JoikuBoost software installed on many of smartphones. Nokia currently offers Joikusoft’s JoikuSpot Premium software as a preload on Nokia N97 and N97 Mini touch screen smartphones.

Joikusoft announces
JoikuMetrix 3G Speed measurement and analysis solution for Operators.
DNA Operator from Finland announces that it has taken the JoikuMetrix solution in use first in the world.
The solution was developed to give subscription-specific statistics on the data transfer speeds in the operator 3G networks, in order to facilitate the provision of optimised trouble-free data connections to operator customers.
"JoikuMetrix measures data transfer throughput, i.e. the connection speed experienced by the customer, and produces a report enabling the software main user and subscription user to ascertain the connection speed of the base station serving the subscription at the time of measurement", explains Timo Varsila, Director, Products and Content, DNA Ltd.
The software, which can be installed in a mobile phone and USB modem, a.k.a. a ‘Mokkula’, improves the transparency of mobile communications network service capacity and contributes to pinpointing development needs, for instance.
"JoikuMetrix is particularly intended for operators who wish to develop their 3G network to the best possible level in terms of customers’ user experience. Bietigheim-Bissingen / Espoo, Finland, 09/04/16 – MoHotSpot turns mobile phones into mobile hotspots: with MoHotSpot, users are getting the next generation of mobile internet. MoHotSpot users always have their personal WiFi hotspot with them and can therefore make calls and surf the net at the same time. Together with work colleagues, friends or family members, they can access the internet via the mobile phone with 3G speed (UMTS/HSDPA) – without the need for cables, USB sticks or PC cards. MBD is launching MoHotSpot on the market jointly with Finnish company Joikusoft. The application will be free of charge for customers of partner company RadiCens and its MoobiCent and MoobiAir brands, as well as for customers of MoBlack.

Effective immediately, MoBlack provides the accompanying tariff for MoHotSpot for a 6- or 24-month period at €29.95 per month. The hardware price for the Nokia E51 provided by MoBlack ranges from €149 for the 24-month tariff to €249 for the 6-month tariff. Tariffs for the RadiCens brands MoobiCent and MoobiAir will follow shortly.
Surfing together via WiFi: MoHotSpot is the next generation of mobile internet
MoHotSpot is the ideal solution for mobile workers and work groups and for individual use at home or on the move. Sydney, 31 March 2009: 3 today launched its 3Spot Wi-Fi application for business and consumer customers. The 3Spot application is a downloadable application that turns compatible handsets into mobile wireless hotspots at the click of a button, making mobile broadband even more accessible, affordable and flexible for customers.
Available from today via the 3 Apps Store on Planet 3, the 3Spot application installs quickly and easily onto any compatible Wi-Fi enabled handset. When activated it creates a secure mobile hotspot within a radius of 10 metres of the device. This allows customers to connect their Wi-Fi enabled devices such as laptops, PCs, smartphones and the iPod Touch to the Internet quickly and securely without the need for cables or a clunky USB set-up procedure.
With 3Spot, business customers can use their laptops to access the web, email as well as secured Internet sites and corporate networks on-the-go, helping small business owners and operators improve productivity and stay connected while out of the office. In addition, the application is made secure by using Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption, so customers’ 3Spot connection is protected.
Customers can also share their 3Spot connection with other Wi-Fi enabled devices which can connect to the hotspot simultaneously. In this way 3 customers can share their mobile broadband with friends and colleagues, ensuring they get the greatest value from their XSeries data allowances.
